Electric train «Lastochka»

Lastochka EMU with asyncronous traction motors is designed to carry passengers on 1,520 mm gauge railways and is a solution for suburban and regional transportation.Flexibility of the internal configuration allows to optimally adapt the EMU to various operating requirements:

  • ES2G “Standard” EMU is an urban express train designed to carry passengers on dedicated routes with high passenger traffic with a length of the route not exceeding 60 km.

  • ES2G “Premium” EMU is designed for transportation of passengers in extra comfortable conditions in suburban areas with a length of the route of 200 km.

  • EM double-system EMU is an interregional express designed to carry passengers on intercity routes with a length of 700 km.

Advantage

Cost efficiency in operation Lightweight car body structure reduces energy consumption. Intelligent control system, traction equipment and auto-driving system also contribute to improving energy efficiency of the EMU, additionally providing energy recovery during generator braking. Improved train concept allows to reduce maintenance and repair costs.
Safety and protection Design of Lastochka EMU meets the standards of ergonomics and safety. Bodies made of air-extruded aluminum profiles provide superior comfort at all speeds, while energy dampers and crash elements protect passengers and staff in the unlikely event of an emergency. Fire safety system is designed in accordance with applicable standards. The EMU is equipped with a video surveillance system in order to increase the level of passenger safety.
Variable and air-conditioned passenger compartment The passenger compartment of Lastochka EMU is made in a modern design style and has enough space for both comfortable accommodation of passengers and storage of wheelchairs and oversized baggage. Compartments are equipped with panoramic windows with thermal insulation properties. Powerful and reliable climate equipment creates a comfortable microclimate.
