Sinara Transportation actively participates in implementation of Smart City programs which become a key driver for the development of big cities and regions.
We see our role as a key operator of the concept of state-private partnership for the implementation of programs from the Smart Transport subproject.
Global transport problems
of big cities
Reasons
- Increasing availability of private vehicles
- New infrastructure facilities are created without taking into account the needs of public transport
- High cost and shortage of high-quality public transportation rolling stock
- Increasing population density
- Insufficient provision of road network
Result
- Increased carrying capacity on all kinds of transportation when travelling to the center during the morning rush hour
- Reduced passenger comfort
- Slowdown in intra-urban mobility
Transport upgrade and mobility orientation towards the pedestrian
Transport infrastructure upgrade is not possible without building and implementation of end-to-end intellectual transport system. This means the integration of operational management of all kinds of transport and the ability to respond to events in real time. It’s important to stress that transportation system is a key element of the entire Smart City system.
Nodes which are critical for the successful functioning of the system are, first of all, transport interchange nodes, which also include intercepting parking lots. In order to ensure their functioning, it’s necessary to integrate information and navigation systems within a single ecosystem of Smart City..

Aspects of smart city transportation
- Creation of a full-fledged system of administration of urban parking space
- Introduction of a system for automatic photo-video recording of violations of traffic rules, intelligent video surveillance and informing about emergencies
- Intellectual traffic management and urban public transport
- Creation of safe comfortable “smart stops” and monitoring systems of a roadbed
- Creation of systems for ecological safety and energy efficient urban lighting

Aspects of building a smart transport system for the region and the country as a whole
- Introduction of multi-modal transportation, allowing to ensure the movement of the population within agglomerations in comfortable, modern and fast conditions
- Integration of suburban traffic with urban public transportation network
Smart City today
Strategy of city transport infrastructure developmentcity Infrastructures
- Production and service of a new rolling stock
- Dedicated lanes for public transport
- Transport hubs
- Passenger services
- Creation of traffic management centers
- Introduction of a new route network
Now in business
- Modern EMU Lastochka are produced
- Negotiations are underway with foreign partners to organize a joint production of trams, trolleybuses and electric busses that meet the highest international quality standards using innovative technologies, such as autonomy, 100% low floor, environmental friendliness, ergonomics and comfort
- Product support throughout the entire life cycle from production to overhaul and final disposal is considered
