Urban Wheeled Transport


Sinara Transportation is a major Russian supplier of urban public transport. The enterprise implements a number of projects in different cities of Russia with a view to renewing rolling stock and comprehensive upgrade of associated infrastructure. 

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sinara Transportation announced the launch of manufacture of urban wheeled vehicles of in-house development. The SINARA-6254 trolleybus with enhanced battery-powered operation was the first to be presented in the unique machinery lineup.


Trolleybus

The SINARA-6254 trolleybus offers a number of unique functions, which has no equals in the Russian market::


  • The ability to cover distances of up to 80 km without consuming energy from overhead line

  • The total energy efficiency of the vehicle has been increased by 15%

  • The seating capacity has been raised to 37 seats in the passenger compartment

  • Door openings have been extended by 1,400 mm

  • Kneeling function for passengers with reduced mobility – the ability to tilt the machine body at stops

  • Vehicle glass area has been increased by 15% to give wider vision for the driver and passengers

  • 80 mm higher passenger compartment

  • Additional multi-level lighting system

  • Enhanced ride quality



In addition, the SINARA-6254 trolleybus features a set of options which are essential for a comfortable and safe ride:

  • USB slots to charge mobile devices

  • Wireless Internet access via the Wi-Fi technology

  • Passenger information systems (including pre-recorded announcement devices, screens, and display panels)

  • Ramp door (for passengers with reduced mobility)

Chelyabinsk will be the first city to see the new SINARA trolleybuses in its streets. SINARA Urban Transport Solutions will supply 168 state-of-the-art vehicles to the capital of the Southern Urals, as part of the project it implements in the city.
The company will also upgrade the entire overhead contact system of the city, rehabilitate two depots, renovate three existing substations and build three new ones. The project execution period is 2021–2023. 

Electric bus

Within the framework of the INNOPROM 2022 international industrial exhibition, Sinara Transportation unveiled SINARA-6253 electric bus, a new type of public wheeled transport in its lineup of in-house development.

The innovative vehicle, which uses electric motors as the main source of energy, will be able to cover up to 250 km on a single charge. This indicator is an absolute record for Russia. Another parameter, that is unrivaled in Russia, is its enhanced passenger capacity of up to 90 people. Electric buses are also among the most eco-friendly modes of transport, which produce no harmful emissions to air. 

Safety in the SINARA-6253 electric bus is secured by the ADAS driver assistance system (monitoring of road obstructions) and a system of 11 cameras (view of any point outside and inside the passenger compartment).

Driver comfort on the route was also among the priorities for developers of the machine. It has been enhanced with a multi-function steering wheel and solutions compliant with all the principles of workplace ergonomics.

The certification of SINARA-6253 electric bus is to be completed by mid-2023. The bus manufacturing is planned to be deployed in Chelyabinsk.
