2ES6/3ES6 DC freight mainline electric locomotive/ DC freight mainline electric locomotive with a booster section

2ES6 “Sinara” two-section freight DC electric locomotive is designed to haul freight trains on 1,520 mm gauge railways electrified with 3 kV direct current voltage.

It is capable of hauling a train weighing 8,000 tons in sections with a flat track profile (up to 6 ‰) and a train weighing 5,000 tons in sections with a mountain profile (up to 10 ‰).

The electric locomotive may operate in a system of multiple units, and autonomous operation of one section of the electric locomotive is also possible.

Microprocessor control system ensures control of all the devices of an electric locomotive.
On-board diagnostic system provides for the delivery of information messages to the driver, preparation of information and its transmission to information centers and service points
GPS/GLONASS global positioning system and auto-driving system are installed, and control may be transferred to operators in remote stationary control centers
