High-Output Tamping Machine PMA-1M

The PMA-1M High-Output Continuous Action Tamping Machine allows tamping two sleepers simultaneously with continuous lifting of the track panels during one single pass. The tamping and dynamic track stabilization process is carried out concurrently with only one operator. The machine is used for alignment of railway tracks during overhauls and repairs. An integrated lifting & lining function allows to move track panels up to 150 mm.

In terms of productivity and track correction accuracy, the machine meets or exceeds the best foreign analogs, which has been confirmed by tests and re sults of the machine operation under field conditions.

The tamping units are activated by one hydraulic cylinder using a digital control system.

Manual and automatic control mode

The lifting and leveling unit securely holds the track panel during the machine operation, which excludes the impact of cyclic loads on the unit and extends its life cycle

The reinforced frame and the increased capacity of the lifting and lining unit allows usage of this machine for preliminary track alignment during overhauling works (after the ballast cleaning machine) and for finishing work during routine track maintenance
